Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is the daughter of British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby (born in Paris) and Chris Watson (born in Paris). As a young girl of just five, she moved to Oxfordshire and enrolled at an Oxfordshire-based Dragon School. Emma was inspired to become an actor when she was six. Over the course of several years, she attended the Oxford Branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. She learned to sing dance, acting and singing. By the age of ten she was performing and taking the lead in various Stagecoach productions as well as school plays. In 1999 casting began in the production of Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) the movie adaptation of British author J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Emma was discovered by agent through their Oxford teacher. David Heyman announced to Emma that, after auditioning for eight times, she as well as Rupert Grint were chosen as Hermione and Harry Potter. Emma's screen debut was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone's premiere in 2001. It broke all records in beginning-day and weekend-opening sales as well as being the most-grossing feature in 2001. It was highly acclaimed by experts, and also by the performances of its three new actors. The Daily Telegraph, an important British newspaper, called Emma's acting "amazing". Emma later won five awards for her performance in the film.
