Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is a well-known Indian actor, known for her role in the film Beta Saajan and Hum Haiin Koun..! The actress was initially famous for her 1980s role in Tezaab, in which she co-starred alongside veteran actor Anil Koopor. Her next appearance was in Dil where she was on screen with Aamir. The daughter of a middle class family in Mumbai she was able to learn dance from a very young age. In her early years, when she started to act as a child actor, the majority of films she created did not succeed. Her fame grew and she became one of India's top film actors. After marriage, she experienced a career break before reentering the business. In recent times, she was in an important performance as a character in Gulaab Gang. The film was about struggles faced by women across India. Dixit has been nominated 15 times in the Filmfare Awards. She won 8 of them. Padma Shri was awarded to her, which is the fourth-highest civil honour in India. Her name is well-known for her work in the field of social service as well.
